How do I close my Pandemic Unemployment Payment claim?
I am self-employed and was on the PUP. My business has reopened this week and I want to close my claim, how do I do this?
If you have returned to work you need to close your claim for the COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment.
The easiest way to do this is online on MyWelfare.ie under the COVID-19 payment section.
This should be done on the actual day you return to work to ensure claim is processed correctly.
After the claim is closed you may be eligible for a final payment as the payment period of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment is Friday to Thursday. If you close your claim to return to work and have at least one qualifying day in that period you will receive full payment for that week.
