There is no reason why you should not be able to file your 2019 tax return at this time. In fact, Revenue has advised businesses to continue to send in tax returns as normal.

Your form 11 can be completed anytime online by logging in to ROS. For those that use Revenue Online Services (ROS) the pay & file deadline is 10 December 2020. If you do not use ROS to file your tax return then the deadline is 31 October 2020.

If your accountant usually files your tax return on your behalf this may still be possible. At TaxAssist Accountants we have access to secure remote IT systems which enable us to work from home in order to continue to deliver our services to you.

You can still communicate with your accountant through video conferencing or over the phone. If you want to avoid bringing in your records, we could use a document scanning facility like Receipt Bank to capture the required documents needed to complete your tax return.
