New look for TaxAssist Accountants signals confidence in Portlaoise’s future

TaxAssist Accountants in Portlaoise has unveiled its refreshed shopfront, reaffirming its commitment to supporting local businesses and playing an active part in the town’s business community.

The updated signage brings a fresh, contemporary look to the shop and reflects TaxAssist Accountants’ focus on providing accessible, personalised accountancy services to local business owners and self-employed professionals.

“Portlaoise has a business community we’re proud to be part of,” said Simon Bain, owner of TaxAssist Accountants Portlaoise, “Our new shopfront represents an investment in our business and our continued commitment to the people and businesses we support locally.”

Groups such as Downtown Portlaoise help bring people into the town centre and a welcoming local business presence complements those efforts, giving people more reasons to visit and connect with the businesses on their doorstep.

The refreshed shopfront also comes as Portlaoise looks towards further investment in its town centre. In September 2026, Laois County Council announced €7.5 million in funding for the proposed Fort Museum and Event Centre. The plans include museum, exhibition, performance and community spaces, adding to the town’s cultural offering.

Simon added “It’s encouraging to see further investment in Portlaoise’s future. A vibrant town centre benefits from both major projects and the everyday commitment of local businesses. We’re pleased to be making our own investment and continuing to serve the Portlaoise community.”
