TaxAssist Accountants is Ireland’s first network of specialist small business accountants. We have been growing rapidly and now have a network of 20 offices across the country. We have an opening for a full-time or part-time bookkeeper/accounts technician role in our Lucan office.

Responsibilities:
- Full bookkeeping with bank, sales and purchase ledger postings to trial balance for a large portfolio of varied clients
- Management of Vat/RTD returns to deadlines for all VAT registered clients
- Liaising with clients on VAT or bookkeeping related queries
- Processing client payrolls both weekly and monthly
- Managing a phone system of new customer & existing customer queries
- General office administration duties
Key attributes:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and IT skills for dealing with clients.
- Enthusiastic and committed to providing clients with an excellent service as part of a small team.
- IATI qualified or equivalent
- Previous Bookkeeping experience preferable, ideally on Surf Accounts, Dext.
- Experience of producing accounts to trial balance stage from basic records
- Experience of completing and filing Income Tax returns would be a significant advantage.
- Previous experience in an Irish accountancy practise
