Should I switch to a new accountant?

I’ve been speaking to a few other small business owners and a lot of them have changed accountant. I never really thought about this before, but should I change accountant?

A lot of people are perfectly happy with their accountant and are happy with the service they receive. However, it doesn’t hurt just to think about what you want from your accountant and ensure you are getting the best value for money.

Here a few questions you can ask yourself about your current accountant:

Are they easy to contact?
Do they have the knowledge and expertise to complete the work needed?
Do they use modern technology so you can look after your accounts on the go?
Do you get value for money?

If you answered no to any of these questions then it may be time to take a look at switching to an accountant that meets your business needs.
